Sumo Japanese Steak House

It was great experience for me and my family as we have our visit to this restaurant. The atmosphere was great and we enjoyed the food while welcome by our host Leilani. Our chef Thurston was amazed our eight years old son with his performance. It was such an experience for the life time.

My family and I enjoyed every bit of our dinners. The chef did an amazing job cooking the rice, steak vegetables and everything that was included in our meals. It was all worth every dollar spent.

We went in for lunch today and it was just us and 2 other guys across from us. The chef of course was still fantastic doing his bit while cooking. The sauces were great, rice delicious, my husband enjoyed the veggies and we both enjoyed the steak and teriyaki chicken. Server was attentive and polite. We will definitely be back! :)

The experience I had here was great when I found this place on March 16th 2024 . I had the hibachi steak and shrimp. The food tasted very fresh and the chef was very entertaining and energetic.The chef made sure that nobody was sitting at the table board as he was cracking jokes and playing the whole time. The food was definitely 10 out of 10 I just wish that the wait time wasn't so long. I do understand that I went on a busy Friday night but a almost 2-hour week was kind of crazy.

This is such a fun place to eat. The server cooks everything right in front of you with so many tricks and games. Really a lot of fun and a great place to eat! They also have some of the best French Fries ever! Ordered them as a side for the 3 year old!

We recently had the pleasure of dining at SUMO in Columbia, SC, and it was an absolute delight. Even though it was lunchtime, we couldn't resist trying the dinner portion of the NY Steak and Chicken Meal at SUMO. Sumos is an excellent place to eat. The chefs were entertaining & awesome!! The wait wasn't long at all. My son and I really enjoyed ourselves!! Will go again!!
